VICTORIA & ALFRED HOTEL | CAPE TOWN

The Victoria and Alfred Hotel offers charming colonial ambience in a central, prestigious location on the pier-head of the world’s most famous working harbour - the famed V&A Waterfront. This exceptionally elegant hotel occupies a converted historic warehouse and boasts 94 exquisitely designed contemporary rooms. If you are seeking luxurious accommodation, world-class hospitality and spectacular views of table mountain, look no further than this remarkable, historically rich, landmark hotel.

SABLE ALLEY | KHWAI COMMUNITY AREA

Nestled in 200,000 hectares the 12 en-suite, solar powered tents are raised on comfortable decks, each with a private veranda overlooking the lagoon and floodplains, stretching towards the un-fenced boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. The open-plan lounge, dining and plunge pool area complete the warm welcome to our guests. Community members from the nearby Khwai Village make up the majority of staff.

VICTORIA FALLS RIVER LODGE LUXURY TENTED SUITES | VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

Victoria Falls River Lodge is the first private safari lodge to be set in the Zambezi National Park. This luxury canvas-under-thatch lodge is situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River – so close to Victoria Falls one can see the spray in the distance. Guests can combine a unique safari experience with visits to one of the world's most famous tourist destinations. The main lodge has an open plan design and is positioned just back from the river – in view of the elephants' natural evening route. Sit back and sip on a cocktail, under the shade of the thatched roof, as the elephants graze along the river line.

MALAMALA CAMP | MALAMALA GAME RESERVE

Comprising 13 300 ha (33 000 acres), MalaMala shares a 19 km (12 mile) unfenced border with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, and lies strategically sandwiched between the National Park and the Sabi Sand Reserve. MalaMala has been custodian of this massive thriving tract of land since 1927.

Every aspect of the MalaMala Main Camp is designed to appreciate and enjoy the view of the surrounding wilds. Pathways wind their way along the perimeter of the camp to reveal individual ochre coloured units tucked into the greenery which flanks the Sand River. Massive trees and rolling green lawns are filled with birdsong, with the occasional antelope or elephant which seeks the succulence of greenery. The camp is unfenced – an oasis in the middle of the bushveld.

Accommodation is provided in luxury thatched bedrooms, featuring climate control and insect repellent, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers, mini-bars and on-site safes, as well as direct dial telephones. Rooms are spaced in such a way that guests are guaranteed the space and intimacy that only a smaller reserve can offer. Each lodge offers guests a unique experience with state-of-the-art facilities, high-end decor and furnishings, delicious cuisine, and impeccable service standards.

There are no typical days at MalaMala – each is different based on the wild animals and their movements and no return time to camp is the same. Rangers will take full advantage of cheetah hunting or a leopard feeding in a tree and obviously the guest’s requirements are considered.

MalaMala’s location in relationship to the Kruger National Park is significant. The unfenced eastern boundary with the Kruger National Park allows wildlife to move freely onto MalaMala and many of the territorial animals such as leopard, lion and rhino will have a territory overlapping a portion of both reserves. MalaMala’s river frontage running north to south is the lifeblood of the reserve, especially in the dry winter months. It is also an important boundary between the areas of human habitation on the western bank of the river and the pristine wilderness area of MalaMala on the eastern side between the river and the Kruger National Park. When animals move it is often due to water. Wildlife moves from the 4 million acres east of the Sand River, through MalaMala to the river and back again resulting in two way traffic across the reserve where we conduct our safaris. The land of the Eastern side has no access roads, no electricity pylons, no telephone poles and no cables etc. There is no human habitation between the Sand River and the Kruger National park boundary so for approximately 16 hours a day, this area is left to the wildlife.

AZURA BENGUERRA ISLAND | BAZARUTO ARCHIPELAGO

Imagine an unspoilt island within a pristine Marine National Park. Miles of deserted beaches with soft white sand. Sparkling turquoise seas, crisscrossed by local dhow boats plying their trade. Swaying palms, gentle breezes, sunny days and star studded nights. Welcome to Azura Benguerra Island.

Built entirely by hand in partnership with the local community, we have just 20 spacious ’beach-chic’ designer villas, each with their own private pool stretching out to the Indian Ocean beyond, and located a few steps from the pristine white sand beach. They offer our discerning guests every comfort, with handcrafted king size beds, feature bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, air-conditioning, daybeds, lounging decks and salas right on the beach. They were designed for the ultimate getaway in this magnificent beach paradise.

Our 2 bedroomed Villa Amizade is perfect for families, friends, or those requiring a little more relaxation space, with the benefit of its own lounge and dining areas, ‘wine bar’, and larger swimming pool. The 3 bedroom Presidential Villa has its own beachfront location for complete seclusion and privacy. It has a magnificent master suite, as well as 2 further en-suite bedrooms, and is perfect for a family stay. There is a vast infinity pool, great entertaining space from the lounge bar to the treehouse deck, and a private chef and Mozambican villa host for the ultimate in personalised service during your stay with us.

We offer a vast range of guided activities and experiences for you to enjoy, including world class snorkelling, fishing and scuba diving from our Padi 5 star dive centre. Take a tour of the island, visit the community, and the school that our Rainbow Fund registered charity built for the islanders. Go Island hopping by boat or by helicopter, enjoy a cocktail in your beachfront sala, drinks in the star bar, dinner in our wine cellar, or a relaxing massage at our unique African Spa. Your days are tailored around your wishes, to do as much or as little as you would like. Our ‘designed to give back’ ethos, whereby we support a range of community initiatives for our décor items, is evident throughout Azura, and provides an added area of interest for our guests.

At Azura, we believe that dining is all part of the experience, from breakfast at the water’s edge, to a full service picnic on a sandy island, or romantic dining on a candle-lit beach beneath the stars. Our Mozambican hosts take huge pride in their innovative dining set-ups, and little touches to make your stay special. They are what our guests comment about the most, and are there to personalise your stay, as well as providing a unique insight into all things Mozambique.

With wonderful cuisine, ever smiling Mozambican service and a vast range of activities and experiences, Azura Benguerra Island is the perfect island escape. How you spend your time with us is your choice, but getting the small things right that will make the difference is ours.
