Option 1:

The action begins as soon as you enter the water as these furry counterparts swim beside you, often mimicking your movements.

The short boat ride to the dive site allows guests the opportunity to spot other wildlife including pods of Dusky dolphins, Southern Right Whales, Cormorants and possibly even African Oyster Catchers.

Scuba diving for certified divers is available upon request.
No previous snorkeling experience is required, but you should be confident with swimming in open water.

Do your bit for scientific research by collecting data! Observe the seals behaviour and monitor which fish species occur with the presence of these furry dogs of the sea.
Approximately 15 minutes by boat along the Cape Peninsula lies Seal Rock, a small haul out for resting seals. Jump in and snorkel with the seals whilst looking out for any that are entangled in fishing gear or wounded from possible bite marks, boat strikes, or fishing gaffs. We also record the fish species that occur in the presence of seals, an apex predator, and compare this with areas where there are fewer seals.
This is a relatively sheltered and easy snorkel. It is very shallow close to the rock where most of the seals play as they cool off in the water, but offers deeper sections for the more adventurous who like to duck dive and play with the seals underwater. This trip is perfect for the whole family or groups, a really exciting and fun trip where you get the chance to interact with the charismatic Cape Fur Seals of Cape Town.

The snorkeling is from a Zodiac RIB. The vessel is standard for South African diving operators. There are no facilities except for a small cubby hole for keys and sunglasses. We advise leaving your personal belongings behind. There are no toilet facilities or protection from the weather conditions.

Departure time: Exact time to be confirmed the day before the trip and is based on weather conditions. The dive site is + 15 minutes away from the launch point.
