This is a unique Eco-Adventure where you ZIP through one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world. Spectacular scenery, highest safety measures and a 2h30 flight on the worlds longest Zip Line!
Includes pickup and drop off from ANYWHERE in Johannesburg!
Between Hartbeespoort and Rustenburg lies the 120 km Magaliesberg Mountain range, part of the beautiful Magaliesberg Biosphere Reserve - a beautiful natural environment only 1h30 hours drive from Johannesburg. This 2400 million-year-old rock formation is the second oldest in the world and its surroundings are an ideal location for a full day of fun. The Canopy Tour allows you to view this environment from a bird’s eye perspective. This zip line is the longest in the world!
Two knowledgeable guides will escort you during this 2,5-hour adventure. Along the way the guides describe the beautiful surroundings that you glide past. From a platform, blended into the rocks, you descend through Ysterhout Kloof. Zooooving down a steel zip line, sometimes 140 metres long, passing 11 platforms! Much like a “foefie” slide, the canopy tour essentially involves zigzagging down the kloof while stopping at each platform to admire the expansive views and surrounding ecology. The bird sightings are wonderful in this area and your guides will be able to point out interesting sightings and share information from the shy klipspringer or the endangered black eagle. Two trained canopy guides assure the safety of each participant while describing interesting facts about the indigenous plants, ecology and geology of the area. .
Don’t worry about your safety- you will wear a safety belt at all times. With Adrenaline pumping enjoy the amazing view and just glide!
