Day 1: ARRIVAL – NAIROBI
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi where you will be met after clearing with immigration formalities. You will be transferred to your city hotel where you will be briefed about your safari.

HOUSE OF WAINE
Originally a family house, it was lovingly converted to a boutique hotel and eventually opened in 2004. It is an 11 bedroom luxury boutique hotel on 2.5 acres that blends the elegance of gracious living with the spirit of modern Africa in an exclusive and serene setting. The interior design takes its cue from the Matriarch of the family and is imbued with a timeless elegance much like her.
Day 2: EXCURSIONS IN NAIROBI
After breakfast, depart to visit the Giraffe Centre located at Lang’ata, approximately 3 kilometres from House of Waine. It is the creation of a Kenyan conservation organization, the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW). It was established in order to protect the endangered Rothschild giraffe that is found only in the grasslands of East Africa. The main attraction for visitors is feeding giraffes from a raised observation platform. The centre is also home to several warthogs which freely roam the area along with the giraffes. They have three types of Giraffes: Reticulated Giraffe, Masai Giraffe and the Rothschild. Thereafter you will visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Open to the public from 11:00hrs to 12:00hrs daily. Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage looks after and supports orphaned baby elephants and rhinos that have lost their mothers to poaching, death and injuries. You will then depart to Karen Blixen Restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon visit the Karen Blixen Museum situated in the upscale Nairobi suburb of “Karen,” that was created by the parcelling out of the coffee farm’s land after Blixen’s return to Denmark. It is also the former African home of Danish author Karen Blixen, famous for her book Out of Africa which chronicles life at the estate.
Visitors have the opportunity to take part in continuously offered guided tours of the house, which feature rooms designed in both the original decor and with props from the 1985 film. Day 3: NAIROBI – MERU NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy your breakfast and depart to the airport for your flight to Meru National Park. This is the ideal place of visit for guests looking for something off the-beaten-track and is well known for its bird life, riverine and forest as well as the dry arid species. You shall make a brief stop at Ogutu to see the Equator. Arrive in time for lunch, check-in to our rooms then later relax before the afternoon game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Elsa’s Kopje (FB)
ELSA’S KOPJE
Unashamedly romantic and beautifully styled, Elsa’s Kopje is sculpted into Mughwango Hill, above the site of George Adamson’s original camp where he raised and released orphan lions, long before conservation became fashionable. Each cottage is crafted around the rocks, with a large bedroom, open sitting room, veranda and spacious bathroom, each with breathtaking views. Guests can enjoy inimitable seclusion in the vast expanse of Meru National Park, boasting 870km², the equivalent of 215,000 acres, of authentic African landscape. The park offers a thriving rhino sanctuary, and is famous for large elephant herds, hippo, lion, and bird life; Meru National Park is recognized as having more diversity of animal species than any other park in East Africa.
Day 4: EXPLORE MERU NATIONAL PARK
Spend a full day in the Meru National Park on morning and afternoon game drive. Meru wildlife includes large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Duiker, Eland, Elephant, Gazelle, Genet, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck and Gravy Zebra. Expect to see Baboons, Hyena, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Mongoose, Oryx, Oribi, Vervet Monkeys and Warthog. You may see Wild dog, Bushbaby, Caracal, Cheetah, Civet, Dik-dik, Leopard, Otter, Bush pig, Porcupine, Black and White Rhino. The rivers are bound with Hippo and Crocodile. Birdlife includes Peter’s fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel’s Fishing Owl, Kingfishers, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Starlings and numerous Weavers. Day 5: MERU – SAMBURU
After breakfast, depart by road to the wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Ewaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa Oryxes. ELEPHANT WATCH CAMP
There are six spacious, netted tents at Elephant Watch Camp specially designed to catch the breeze and ensure maximum privacy and protection. Each tent hangs under a wide thatched roof with its own verandah and stunning view. Inside, soft flowing cloths cascade to the floor that can be drawn across the windows at night. The walls are a mix of canvas and netting which keeps bugs out but allows in the sounds and scents of the wild.
Cold mineral water is plentiful and stored in a thermos or glass bottle inside your tent. Each room has a king-size bed with crisp cotton sheets, luscious feather pillows, bedside lamps, a flashlight, clean fluffy towels, a kanga bathrobe (designed by Oria) and a “bush cupboard” with plenty of hanging space and shelves. The verandah outside is expansive and comfortable where you can relax in comfort with a book on a daybed, or simply take in the view.
The bathrooms are en-suite and each is built around its own tree for maximum shade and privacy. Hand-painted buckets are filled with clean cool water by day, and in the evening, steaming hot water heated naturally by the sun is poured into your bucket-shower that hangs from a branch so that you can enjoy the sensation of washing under the stars.
Day 6: EXPLORE SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Dawn breaks in golden bands as you start your day in the bush by scanning the river from your tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Before the dew is off the grass, you’re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in our cosy camp. Dinner and Overnight at Elephant Watch Camp (AI)
Day 7: SAMBURU – MARA
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Mara. On arrival in the Masai Mara, you will be met at the airstrip and driven the short distance to camp. Lunch in camp, then head out for afternoon game drive to explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

OLARE MARA KEMPINSKI CAMP
Olare Mara Kempinski is located in the Olare Orok Conservancy in Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve, The Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Camp’s location offers a unique view of the Maasai Mara landscape, bringing travellers closer to their dream of a lifetime in the countryside yet offering a world of modern African comfort. Olare Mara Kempinski is one of the unique camps in the Mara hidden in a grove of riverine woodland on the banks of the great Ntiakitiak River. The camp consists of sweeping canvas tents, comfortable beds made from local wood, wide sofas and a luxurious base from which to gaze out over the majestic Olempalakae hill.
The resort comprises of twelve deluxe suite tents of which one is a honeymoon suite. The deluxe tents cover approximately 80 sqm and are furnished in the classic style of the grand African Safaris; with large four-poster beds and reproduction furniture, offset by modern amenities. The honeymoon suite has its very own plunge pool. Olare Mara Kempinski Maasai Mara prides itself in being an eco – friendly resort, it has the largest organic garden in the conservancy and meals are prepared using homegrown ingredients, energy saving measures are also in place, the resort sources 70 % of its energy needs from solar power.
Day 8: EXPLORE MAASAI MARA
There is the option this morning for an early morning hot air balloon safari (extra charge). Depart the camp at 5.15am to the Balloon Safari take off-site. A fabulous I hour Hot Air Balloon safari across the plains of the Masai Mara. On landing enjoy a champagne bush breakfast, freshly cooked in the middle of the Mara plains. Game drive back to camp. Spend the morning relaxing before lunch at the camp, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at the Lodge

Day 9: FULL DAY GAME VIEWING
Early morning game-drive at sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp. After lunch depart for an afternoon game drives across the plains in search of the big cats (black manned lions, Cheetahs and leopards. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands in huge numbers. You also have a chance to see other plain game.

Day 10: DEPART
Sleep in today to enjoy a late breakfast. Thereafter enjoy a late morning game drive and a delicious lunch back at the camp. After lunch transfer to the airstrip to catch the scheduled flight departing at 4:00 pm for Nairobi. Arriving at Wilson Airport in the evening where you will be met and transferred to a restaurant for dinner (Dinner to be paid direct). After dinner transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
