Description
This is an experience of a life time and can be enjoyed by young and old. A swim in Devils Pool right at the edge of the Mighty Victory Falls before it slips over the granite edge down 108m is a WOW experience and one for the record books. The guides are careful and helpful in assisting you over the rocks to reach this incredible, exhilarating,unlikely swimming spot.
From the Royal Livingstone Hotel it is a 5-8 minutes boat ride to Livingstone Island. This patch of green and rock is located in the middle of the Zambezi River right on the edge of the Victoria Falls just before it rushes to the base of the Batoka Gorge. Your guide will lead you to Devils Pool and help you negotiate your way there. Your safety is his major concern.
Refreshments according to your choice of tour [tea, snacks or lunch] will be served on the Livingstone Island before you head back to the Royal Livingstone Hotel feeling that Africa is wild, unspoiled with adventure around the next bend.
To protect the sensitive environment, only 16 guests may visit at any one time during five daily departures. Access is restricted to a maximum of 80 visitors per day so it is highly recommended to book a Livingstone Island Tour in advance.
You will need your passport if you are crossing from one country to another.

Important information
Access to this unique Island is seasonal and depends entirely on the water level in the Zambezi River.
In low water season, approximately end of August to December, guests have the opportunity to swim in Devil’s Pool which is a rock pool right on the lip of the falls accompanied by a guide.
Access to Devil’s pools is available on all 5 slots.
All prices exclude transfers to the Royal Livingstone Hotel.
