You travel through Summerset West to the magnificent Sir Lowry's Pass into the Overberg and the Elgin Valley. The Elgin Valley is one of the Cape's most beautiful fruit growing areas, is literally an hour's drive from Cape Town and one of the Western Cape's better-kept secrets. From here a half hour drive takes you up into the Hottentots Holland Mountains, which are part of the Cape Fold Belt in the Western Cape.  You will be rewarded with dramatic vistas and unique fynbos, heathland vegetation that is indigenous to South Africa.   

At the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, home to the Cape Canopy Tour, you will be fully briefed and kitted up for your great adventure.  A 4X4 will transport you high up into the mountain range.  And here is where the fun begins!!  

While waiting for your canopy tour you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. 

Professional guides ensure the strictest safety standards so that you can enjoy the best experience as you whiz along 320m of steel cables with 13 platforms over rugged, steep gorges and picturesque waterfalls.  On the short walk back down to your vehicle you will enjoy the views and vegetation in this mountain kingdom.

Relax as you journey back to Cape Town through the beautiful countryside.  Arrive back at the hotel in Cape Town in the early afternoon.

COLLECTION  FROM YOUR CAPE TOWN HOTEL: 7 AM

• Meet your friendly guide and settle into your air-conditioned vehicle for your journey of just over an hour into the Overberg region of the Western Cape.
• On the way, you will pass over the magnificent Sir Lowry's Pass with views over Summerset West and Gordons Bay.
• Drop down into the Elgin Valley which is one of the Cape's most beautiful fruit growing areas.
• From here it is a short half hour drive to the Hottentots Holland Nature reserve - home to the Cape Canopy Tour.
• After a safety briefing and kitting up at the reception, you will be transported by 4x4 high into the mountain range.
• Two professional guides will accompany each small group, ensuring strict safety standards while providing an enlightening and educational experience through interesting facts about the nature and geology of this interesting area.
• Time to Slide along steel cables from platform to platform, taking you past waterfalls and through valleys, enjoying all that mother nature has to offer. With 13 platforms and slides up to 320m long.

Drive back through beautiful landscape with a short stop at Peregrine Farmstall, and end your journey a little over one hour later.
