Our boat is based at Wilsons Wharf in the Durban Marina. After a safety briefing by the Captain/Skipper and an introduction to the crew we set off through the Durban Harbour making way towards the port exit.
Once out at sea, we start steaming towards the fishing grounds in search of blue water and fish/bird activity. This is generally about a 60 Minute ride before we deploy a spread of lures, our crew are at hand to ensure that your spread is set. You are welcome to get involved should you wish, just let the crew know and they will show you the way.
Once the spread is set we begin trolling at comfortable speeds of around 7 to 8 Knots. Sit back relax, enjoy the views of the Durban skyline and get ready for screaming ratchets!! Everyone on deck will have their eyes peeled to the water looking out for a bill in the spread.
Our route takes us offshore, where we work the blue water on the 100, 200 and 500 meter contour lines. Based on conditions and sightings we work our way offshore North of Durban or to the South towards Aliwal Shoal.
We have a gas braai on board, you are welcome to bring along your own meat. Enjoy a braai / barbecue whilst out at sea if weather permits or relax on the dock whilst we fillet your catch for you.
We are strictly a Catch and Release operation for ALL billfish. All other game fish are regulated by a catch limit of a maximum of 10 fish per angler.
